Pop, Rock | MIA. (alternative spelling: Mia.) is a German punk/new wave/rock/pop band from Berlin. The band released their debut album Hieb & Stichfest in 2002. In May 2006 the single Tanz der Moleküle of the third album Zirkus got into the top 20 on the German charts and became the band's most successful single up to that date. The album Zirkus reached number two on the German album charts. MIA. competed in the Bundesvision Song Contest with the title-track Zirkus and became fourth. In 2008 the single Mein Freund reached number 15 on the German charts and became Tanz der Moleküle's successor as the band's most successful singer. The corresponding album Willkommen im Club reached number four on the German album charts. The band has continued to release albums since then.
