O Malick Pathé Sow
Malick Pathé Sow comes from a large family party instruments and musicians Laawbe knowledge and voice over from nomadic Fula from northern Senegal. As one of the reliable and important musicians of the band Baaba Maala, in which he played the African banjo – Hodd and sang, after arriving in Europe put on a successful solo career. His latest CD called Maaya Men is marked by a return to musical roots and led to performances at festivals in England, France, Algeria, Tanzania and Malaysia. Malick is also a member of Blindnote – which mixes music from Senegal, Madagascar, Turkey, Armenia, Mexico, and Belgium – and the last CD of this group was selected among the 10 best CDs of 2011, the leading British magazine Songlines.
