Kostel sv. Anny
The Church of St. Anne together with the Capuchin Monastery in České Budějovice, which was founded at the beginning of the 17th century by Empress Anna of Tyrol, now serves a completely different purpose and is used as a concert hall.
Since 1988 it has been owned by the South Czech Philharmonic. The building fully meets the concert and operational needs. Its convenient location in the city centre on Kněžská Street has made the concert hall one of the main cultural centres of the city. The centre of the building is the concert hall, formerly named after Otakar Jeremias, a native of České Budějovice and an important composer. The hall has excellent acoustics with a capacity of 148 seats in the hall and 14 seats in the balcony. A modern organ completes the concert environment. The concert hall was completely reconstructed in 2021 thanks to the South Bohemia Region.
