Agharta Jazz Centre

Agharta Jazz Center as its name suggests, is a Prague jazz club, which bears its name after the core album of Miles Davis, one of the innovators of modern jazz. The club is not only connected with Miles through the album name but also with the date of Miles's death. The club was founded the day after the death of this great jazzman.

In addition to jazz and blues concerts, club Agharta entered the subconscious of people thanks to its trade with jazz items, and mainly thanks to the organizing yearlong Agharta Prague Jazz Festival, where big names of jazz performed (The Brecker Brothers, Chick Corea, Candy Dulfer, Jan Garbarek, Diana Krall, Branford Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, John McLaughlin, Pat Metheny, Oregon, Maceo Parker, Courtney Pine, John Scofield, Wayne Shorter, Spyro Gyra, McCoy Tyner, Miroslav Vitous, Mark Whitfield, the Yellow Jackets and many more).
