Klan

Klan are the brothers Stefan and Michael Heinrich. Grown up in Leipzig with church choir and street music, later turned to techno and alternative, one becomes a guitarist and the other goes to Berlin to study medicine. There they met again in 2016 as musicians and lyricists and have been working on their shared musical vision in the home studio ever since.

A sound that is urban and modern, but one can hear the organic roots in soul and trip hop. And texts that renegotiate the relevant topics of their present: family, love and what we believe in. And perhaps that is Klan´s greatest strength: facing the questions of its time with courage and openness, while making the heaviness easy. In 2017 they toured with Elif, Nisse, Vök and performed at the Reeperbahnfestival in Hamburg and the Waves Vienna. Their debut album Wann hast du Zeit?, which was released in 2018, was created in collaboration with Tim Tautorat, who already worked on LPs by Faber, AnnenMayKantereit or the Kooks.
