King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard go on European tour. The first stop is in Brussels and it all ends in Milan. The tour also includes the three hour “marathon set“ in Hamburg.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard is an Australian rock band formed in 2010 in Melbourne, Victoria. They are known for exploring multiple genres, staging energetic live shows, and building a prolific discography, having released 25 studio albums since their formation. Their first two albums, 12 Bar Bruise (2012) and Eyes Like the Sky (2013), primarily blended surf music, garage rock and psychedelic rock, and were released on the band's independent record label, Flightless, founded by their ex-drummer Eric Moore in 2012. Their third to eighth albums — Float Along, Fill Your Lungs (2013), Oddments, I'm in Your Mind Fuzz (2014), Quarters!, Paper Mâché Dream Balloon (2015) and Nonagon Infinity (2016) expanded their sound, including elements of film music, progressive rock, folk, jazz, soul and heavy metal. In 2017, the band fulfilled a promise to release five studio albums within the year: Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Sketches of Brunswick East, Polygondwanaland, and Gumboot Soup. Since 2019, the band has produced several albums per year, including releasing five in 2022 with three of the releases in that October. Their 25th and most recent album, The Silver Cord, was released in 2023. On Silver Cord, the band has eschewed typical guitar-based rock for the release, instead focusing on synthesizers.
