Kamil Střihavka
Kamil Střihavka is a Czech singer.
He graduated from the secondary school of electrical engineering in Varnsdorf in 1983. In 1986 he started singing with the power metal band Motorband. Later he switched from power metal to hard rock. He also performed in the trio BSP (Balage, Střihavka, Pavlicek). He also performed in the Czech adaptation of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar in Prague's Spirála theatre, where he portrayed Jesus in hundreds of performances from 1994 to 1998. His other musicals include Johan of Arc at Prague's Ta Fantastika theatre, and Excalibur. He also sang the official anthem of FK Teplice.
He is currently the frontman of Kamil Střihavka & Leaders. Since November 2010 he has been performing at the Musical Theatre Karlín in another production of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar. He is a member of RockOpera Prague, where he performs in the rock opera Oedipus Tyranus (1st part of the ancient cycle), the first Czech metal opera 7 Against Thebes (2nd part of the ancient cycle), the rock opera Romeo & Juliet, in 2015 he also joined the rock opera Faust. On the musical stages he can be seen in the productions A Cap of Honey for Veronica, John of Arc and Robin Hood. He also wrote the play So Many Heads, for which he founded the Kamil Střihavka Theatre Company.
