Kabarett-Theater Distel

Distel cabaret theatre, in Berlin-Mitte, is the biggest ensemble cabaret in all of Germany. Nationwide it is known for its witty political satire. In October 1953, the Distel cabaret was founded in the former GDR in order to create a counterpart to the cabaret of West Berlin. Since then it stages politically engaged and critical performances.
