Ivan Klánský the Czech piano performer and teacher. He studied piano at the Prague Conservatory, Valentina Kameníková at AMU in Prague with Franz Rauch. It is a laureate of many international competitions. As a soloist and chamber musician performed at more than 4000 concerts. Since 1986, acts as a member of the Guarneri Trio Prague, with whom he recorded numerous CDs and performed at major international festivals. Important is the organizational activity, was chairman of Chopin, Chopin Festival in Marianske Lazne and also the Chairman of the Circle of Friends of Music at the Czech Music Foundation. His teaching began in 1983 at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, where since 1997 the head of the Department of keyboard instruments. Since 1991 he is professor at the School of Music in Lucerne.
