East X Hospital Productions X Italorama Bar: Prurient + The Hacker + more

East is an audio-visual installation and collaboration between Prurient, founder of the electronic avant-garde label Hospital Productions, and photographer Sven Marquardt with support from Honza | Scouting. Their roots are the club culture and the approach to combine imagery with musical language. The concept blends the series of photos East Side Girls - created in the early 1980s in East Berlin and the East Village in New York, where Prurient opened with Hospital Productions an influential record shop. Oldschool New York punk and hardcore combine with what happened in Berlin in the 80s. Working together emphasizes contrasts and works against any generic answers. During the installation there will be a live set of the New York Noise Band Skin Crime, which has been active since the early 90s. The VVK tickets for EAST will continue to be valid for the subsequent Hospital Productions Night at the Berghain, which includes a DJ set by the Berlin producer legend Moritz von Oswald, as well as another edition of the Italo-Disco-capturing Italorama Bar with Franz Scala , Marco Passarani, The Hacker and a live set by Mr Pauli one floor up.
