Hana Chang
Hana Chang began playing the violin at the age of 4, and currently studies with Prof. I. Ženatý at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
She has recently performed as a soloist with the Lexington Symphony, the Concord Orchestra, the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, the New England Conservatory Youth Repertory Orchestra, and the Orchestra Der Hochschule Für Music Franz Liszt in Germany, and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Utah Symphony.
Hana has won first prize in numerous competitions including the Young Promise International Festival and Competition, the Concord Orchestra‘s Ehlers Young Artist Concerto Competition, the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra’s Young Soloist Competition, the New England Conservatory Prep Concerto Competition, and the Stradivarius International Violin Competition. She also received second prize in the International Louis Spohr Competition, and third prize in the Prague Spring International Music Competition 2017. Hana has also performed on the NPR radio show at Carnegie Hall with host, Christopher O’Riley. Hana currently plays on a 1647 Amati violin, kindly on loan from the Rin Collection in Singapore.
