Fuchs2

Open since December 2018, Fuchs2 is a space in the building that has housed the Face2Face music club since the 1990s. It was originally a winter pop-up project. After a few months of operation, the temporary activity was transformed into a long-term project with the ambition to become an open space for wider alternative cultural and social activities.

The club hall, or “main stage”, hosts live concerts with local line-ups or long club nights with international guests. The Salo stage is mainly focused on experimental electronic music. In the Fuchs2 building there is also the club bottom Bike Jesus, which invites to alternative music parties, and the Clubhouse for kids and teenage people with a program including various events, from DJing lessons, photo room to workshops.

Fuchs2 is housed in a functionalist building that was originally a restaurant, built to a design by Josef Fuchs and Bohumil Steigenhöfer in 1932. It was connected to the sports facility of the Štvanice ice rink (the stadium was demolished in May 2011 without the declaration of cultural monument being revoked). The stadium was declared a monument in 2000. The building is an outstanding work of Functionalist architecture built according to the project of Josef Fuchs and Bohumil Steigenhöfer in 1932.
