Freedom Call

Freedom Call is a Power Metal band from Germany. It was founded in 1998 in Nürnberg by Chris Bay and Gamma Ray drummer Dan Zimmermann together with Ilker Ersin on bass and guitarist Sascha Gerstner. In the same year the self-titled demo was released. The debut album Stairway to Fairyland and the EP Taragon followed in 1999. The bands line-up changed several times over the years. The only original member is Chris Bay. The Metal band has released several studio albums, including Master of Light (2016). Freedom Call plays keyboard-heavy Power Metal with catchy, often anthemic melodies. Their lyrics range from imaginative fantasy worlds to serious social and climate change topics.
