Fotografiska Berlin
The new Fotografiska Berlin location is scheduled to open in 2023 on almost 5,500 square meters in the former Kunsthaus Tacheles in the Mitte district of Berlin. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, artists' organizations saved the building from demolition and established the name Tacheles. By adopting the Yiddish word "Tacheles", which stands for honest, straightforwardthe building symbolizes Berlin's new cultural freedom after reunification and has become a historical landmark.
