Fabian Römer
Fabian Römer, active under the stage name F.R. until 2015, is a German rapper and songwriter.
Through various appearances, such as the Flava Jam in Braunschweiger Jugendhaus, he met the producers Champagner, DJ Cut Concept and Onkel Zwieback, with whom he worked together on his first album Das Mundwerk. The album was released in 2004 on the record label Rec.On Entertainment and includes, among other things, the experimental title Wetten, dass, on which also features Zwieback. The play contains 84 rhymes on the word canary. The follow-up album Der Mittelweg was released in June 2006. Here Römer follows his title Wetten, dass from the first album by finding 35 rhymes on the title Theory of Relativity. In 2015, he said in an interview about the album The Middle Way, that it was "the only album" of his that he no longer likes. It was his "most pubertal album" and "the most unreflective".
The free mixtape Exclusives, released in 2007, contains all the titles that Römer released on various online platforms between 2004 and 2007. He then released Wenn mein Album kommt, Nenne mir einen, F zum ABC and three more free titles over the Internet.
In 2007, Römer separated from the label Rec.On Entertainment and moved to the third album and other upcoming releases to DEAG Music, which is represented in the distribution by Warner Music. On June 13, 2008, the third album Vorsicht, Stufe! was released. In 2009 he graduated from high school Kleine Burg in Braunschweig.
In May 2010 he released the album Wer bist du?, that reached number 49 in the German album charts.
In September 2011, his album Ganz Normal Wahnsinn appeared, which went into position 9 in the German charts. Römer lived in a shared flat with Tim Bendzko during the recordings of the album after he quit his job to focus on music.
In October 2012, Römer celebrated his 10th anniversary on the stage at the Stuttgart club LKA Longhorn. The complete concert – his biggest solo concert ever – was released on YouTube.
