Dopplereffekt
In 1842, in Prague for the first time introduced the Austrian physicist Christian Doppler its key discovery in the measurement frequency waves, the Doppler effect (English Doppler Effect). In 2014, in Prague at Lunchmeat Festival debut iconic project Dopplereffekt. Coincidence? Maybe. Among one of the fundamental phenomena of electronic music of the last three decades, however, Dopplereffekt definitely not happen - even though its composition it is not yet much known.
It is the only permanent member of the project is Detroit techno producer Gerald Donald, also known as ARPANET, or half of the legendary duo Drexciya. The acting lately under the name Heinrich Mueller - if at all exits. Existence Dopplereffekt is veiled in mystery, there are almost no interviews and their performance are scarce.
The only thing is evident enough, their published musical material - Analog Gesamkunstwerk (as the title of their famous compilation), in which are reflected unorthodox views on politics, art, modern technology and philosophy. For that, moreover, has Dopplereffekt its close enough to the action - and not just their views but also a purely synthetic sound, from which still draws number of today's producers remains even after nearly twenty years of one of the most important factors shaping the map of contemporary electronic music.
