Diamond Construct
Diamond Construct is an Australian metal band from Taree, New South Wales, formed around 2014. Throughout their career, the band has performed within the metal scene and gradually developed their sound toward a fusion of metalcore, nu-metal, progressive elements, and electronic production.
The band debuted with their EP Into the Sky (2014), followed by the EP Event Horizon (2016). In 2019, they released their first studio album, Diamond Construct, which includes tracks such as Animus, Dreamcatcher, Paradox, and Night Terrors. In 2020, the EP DCX2 was released, reflecting stronger electronic elements and the use of a DJ/sampler, which moved the band’s style toward a more experimental combination of heavy guitar and digital sounds.
Currently, the group continues to release new material. In 2024, the album Angel Killer Zero was released, which was followed in March 2025 by a deluxe edition featuring fourteen tracks, including Jynx, Neon, Faded, Hell Inside You, Clickbait, and Angel With Dead Wings. This new material combines heavy metal riffs with electronic elements and varied vocal styles, further developing the band’s earlier directions.
The band consists of Braden Groundwater on guitar, Kynan Groundwater as vocalist and guitarist, Adam Kilpatrick on drums, and Will Mills on guitar.
