Cobra The Impaler
Formed in 2020, Belgian band Cobra The Impaler brings a blend of heavy metal and progressive elements to create a sound that is both innovative and deeply rooted in the traditions of the genre.
Leading the five-piece fraternal pantheon of Cobra The Impaler is guitarist Tace DC (ex-Aborted, Hæster, Horses on Fire), who confesses to a desire to write heavy guitar music combined with melodic vocals at a time when guitars are increasingly being squeezed out of the mainstream. With strong references to the world of heroes, gods and monsters, their debut Colossal Gods embodies a spirit of constant struggle and resistance that extends beyond the explosive music, seeping into the lyrics and into the standalone artwork for each track.
