Nazira
Nazira is from Almaty and is not only a promoter in the underground scene in Kazakhstan, but also a DJ, presenter at Radio Coméme and resident at the Berlin Room 4 Resistance parties. She is a part of the new eastern techno movement. Nazira became known in 2016 through her Unsound: Dislocation sets in Bishkek and Dushabe, and debuted at the main festival in Krakow just a little later.
Nazira is not just making waves with her releases and sets, though; she also established herself as an ambassador for DJs and performers in the Almaty scene through Zvuk, a DIY event series that takes place in many different venues. Since its inception, the party series has provided a platform for experimental sounds and inclusive self-expression.
Throughout her career, the Almaty artist has become known for her tactful approach to DJing while effortlessly moving between leftfield, electro, acid, and industrial genres.
