Kino Kultura

The Kultura cinema, run by the Polish Filmmakers Association, has been operating in Warsaw's Krakowskie Przemieście since the early 1960s. It's unique among Warsaw cinemas for combining arthouse repertoires and pricing with the amenities of commercial cinemas—Kultura has, among other things, a 234-seat auditorium with a 4K projector and Dolby Digital sound. On Mondays, tickets for all screenings cost £12.

In addition to the cinema's regular activities, the Polish Filmmakers Association organises all its film events and undertakings here: the Golden Tape Awards ceremony, Munk Studio premieres, anniversaries of Polish filmmakers, numerous industry conferences, a cineclub, screenings for seniors and meetings with invited guests. Culture has hosted, among others, Martin Scorsese, Jiří Menzel, Miroslav Ondříček and Paul Mazursky.
