A psychedelic western in which a young accountant (Johnny Depp) commits an accidental murder, thus becoming an outlaw. He is aided in his escape by the mysterious Indian Nobody (Gary Farmer), convinced that accountant William Blake is a great poet in his own right. Their journey together turns into an oneiric, existential journey towards spiritual awakening.
