Robert Kasprzycki

Robert Kasprzycki is a poet, singer, vocalist, musician and composer. Although he comes from the so-called bard song circles, there are traces of many musical influences in his music. Kasprzycki himself has defined himself as a 'reconaissance man'—trying his hand at many paths, from Bulat Okudzhava, Leonard Cohen and Brassens, translations of The Doors, through flirtation with grunge and performances at rock festivals, to comedy. He made his debut in 1997 with the album Niebo do wynajęcia; he currently has six albums to his credit, the most recent being 2021's Mala łazienkowa, which saw him return to his bard song roots. In addition to his own repertoire, Kasprzycki has also written lyrics for Michał Łanuszko, Marek Dyjak, Janusz Radek, Piwnica pod Baranami artists: Jacek Wójcicki, Szymon Zychowicz, Dorota Ślęzak or Ewa Wnuk, as well as for the cult blues rock band Dżem.
