Peia
Peia is a vocalist, composer and sacred song preserver of traditions from all over the world. She has traveled extensively and studied the rich traditions of Indian Classical Raga, Medieval Chant, Bulgarian and Celtic Folk Music, and songs from the native peoples of North and South America. Peia studied Opera at the New England Conservatory of Music where she gained a deep understanding of the physical inner-workings of the voice. Peia performs regularly on the west coast with her solo project and The Rogue World Ensemble and will be featured for the second year in a row at the Beloved Sacred Music Festival in Tidewater Oregon. With a broad, soaring vocal range and bell like tone Peia sings with depth and beauty, to sooth the heart and set the spirit flying. Accompanying herself with tambora, harmonium and charango and guitar Peia's music creates a beautiful organic sound scape.
