Swallow

Hunter apparently has everything – a handsome husband, a big and beautiful house, extremely rich in-laws and research results clearly indicate that a descendant is beginning to develop in her body. However, the more the family tries to control the girl's life, the greater is her need to swallow objects that no one else would find edible: glass balls, pins or figurines found in the corners of the house.

Swallow, Carlo Mirabella-Davis' debut feature film, is an unusual combination of social drama and body horror, in which references to Rosemary's Baby serve as fuel for an emancipatory story. The film premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival and went on an impressive festival tour.
