Włodek Wargocki

Włodek Wargocki is a singer, double bassist, composer and arranger best known as a member of Lubliner Klezmorim, a band playing traditional music of Eastern European Jews with various stylistic and ethnic influences. He has taken part in many shows and European festivals such as: Festival of Four Cultures in Lodz, Festival de Jazz de San Sebastián, Festival of Jewish Culture in Krakow. He has cooperated with the Osterwa Theatre in Lublin and the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw. Since 2004, he has performed with Boris Somerschaf as part of the Russian Romance Project. In 2017, on the 140th anniversary of Bolesław Leśmian's birth and 80th anniversary of his death, he created a series of compositions project Leśmian intymnie, interpreting the poet's erotica.
