Jerzy Styczyński

Born 16 February 1958 in Cracow. Among his favorite foreign artists, he includes such prominent figures as: Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple and Path Metheny, while the Polish favourite is Ryszard Sygitowicz. He had his first contact with the band in 1978, although it was not a permanent collaboration – he did not participate in the recording the band's first single. He returned to the group permanently in May 1981. Without interrupting his work with Dżem, he also manages to accompany other artists: Chłopcy z Placu Broni, Lombard, M. Jakubowicz, L. Cichoński, R. Style, Stare Dobre Marriage. Among the awards he appreciates very much the distinction of the magazine Gitara i Bas, which he received on 10 March 1996 in the Warsaw Congress Hall.
