Bert & Friends
Bert & Friends is a Czech alternative pop band formed around the frontman Albert „Bert“ Romanutti in 2016.
They have won the Anděl Award for Best Music Video and have been nominated for Discovery of the Year (2020), the Apollo Award for Innovation in Music and the Žebřík Award for Discovery of the Year (2022). All band members graduated from the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory.
The band's work is characterized by a strong psychedelic concept and abstract lyrics, with frontman and songwriter Albert Romanutti saying that each of his songs must have its own universe. He has thus created alter egos for most of them. The band also claims to have stepped back in time from 2050 and come to save the Czech music scene with their songs.
