Online screening of movie “Because Of My Body” and discussion with the director Francesco Cannavà and producer Raffaele Brunetti, will be part of the festival “One World 2021”.

Because of my Body / Francesco Cannavà / Italy 2020 / 85 min. / English friendly – Claudia, 20, and born with spina bifida, has never had sex. Hours in the pool where her caring mother takes her are one of her few distractions from daily life. Then she meets Marco. He’s worked with people with disabilities for years and has just finished a sexual assistance course, the first of its kind in Italy. Although Claudia feels almost nothing from the waist down, she throws herself into a series of intimate encounters with Marco in an effort to discover her own body, experience sexual pleasure, and become aware of her needs and desires. But can she avoid seeing Marco as more than just a guide to the secrets of autoeroticism?
