Jazz Fragment
Group Jazz Fragment is thirty-five years a mainstay of the Czech jazz scene. In 1975 it started by pianist and violinist Faix, Aleš Milan Nice as the Czech response to quite a pioneering jazzrockovou fusion Mahavishnu Orchestra. At the Prague Jazz days of 1977 took the original souzvukem file already electrified violins, flutes and piano over the jazzrockovou rhythm section. This original focus remains and is complemented by a repertoire of French jazzrockových violinists Jean-Luc Ponty, Didier Lockwood and founder of swing violin Stephan Grappellyho. Since its inception the Group has gone through a number of well known musicians, including singer Jana Koubkové.
