Anna Fárová

Mgr. Anna Fárová is known mainly as an art historian specializing in Czech and world photography. In the years 1970-1977 she worked in the collection of photographs of Decorative Arts in Prague. The benefit of the new collections policy, major acquisitions classics as well as photographic younger generation, a number of major national and international exhibition projects, which contributed to the recognition of Czech photography in the international arena.

In addition to the museum's acquisitions Anna Fárová also created his own private collection of fine art and photographs. The base was a picture of her father's property Milos Safranek, Czech diplomat in France. In addition to the work of artists mainly from the circle of the Prague Surrealist Group 40th-50th years later, the younger of nonconformist artists. From the 50th years, numerous individual works of domestic and foreign photographers, mostly gifts. Part of the collection of Anne Fárová (as owner later called it) was offered in 2000 to fund the purchase of UPM - example of this is the acquisition of this exhibition. Besides Funke, Josef Sudek and Tibor Honty points and lesser-known personalities of Czech photography of the early 20th Century: Joseph Feather, Jaroslav Krupka, George Lehovec, Joseph Voříšek, Viktor Schuck ad.
