Adrian T. Bell
Adrian T. Bell is a native of Newcastle, England, a graduate of the Naval Academy and served for five years as a navigating officer in the Royal Navy. He studied Landscape Architecture in Manchester and after several years in the Caribbean and Greece, he finally landed in Prague.
With four friends, he founded the band The Prostitutes years ago, which has become an essential part of the Czech music scene. In his solo project, Adrian has teamed up with musician Michael Rendall (in the past he has collaborated with Killing Joke, Paul McCartney, Tibetan monks of the Gyuto order and many others).
He has four studio albums to his credit. After two solo albums, Different World (2013) and Night and Day (2016), Adrian T. Bell and his backing band, The Sleeper Agents, come up with an album that tells the life dilemmas of a contemporary man in the modern world. The album, simply titled Navigator (2018), was created in collaboration with American music producer Sylvia Massy, a multi-Grammy Award-winning artist who has worked with the likes of Johnny Cash, Prince, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The album was recorded at the famous La Fabrique studio in Saint-Rémy de Provence and at the Faust studio in Prague. The result is nine tracks of Americana, Motown, funk and straightforward pop. Named after the single Navigator, the track was recorded in Prague churches in addition to the studio space – the organ is from St. Salvator and the bells from St. Vitus.
After a hiatus of several years, Adrian T. Bell releases the album Blue Moon Rising in Autumn 2024.
