From January 2021, Malwina Paszek begins a new cycle of songs, which theme will be plants, herbs, trees. In folk songs plants have always had a special meaning and symbolism. Always associated with rituals. The topic of the fifth workshop is the Viburnum (in Russian and Polish known as kalina). A shrub associated with lyrical songs, rites of passage, and women’s songs. A symbol of girlhood, innocence, but also of suffering and sadness.
White voice is also known as “open voice” or “natural voice”. This technique refers to a call, to singing in combination with shouting or controlled screaming, and thus the search for one’s own original sound. There are many interpretations, what is most important is the idea – the meeting of a group of people and singing together with voices. Workshop participants will be able to learn the principles of correct vocal emission, diaphragmatic breathing, sound production in the traditional manner, and will get to know the folk vocal repertoire. The workshop is addressed to all interested persons, both singers and those who want to start their adventure with traditional songs. The workshop will be fully in Polish.
