Zemfira

Zemfira Ramazanova (born 26 August 1976) is a Russian singer, musician, author and composer from Ufa. She began her musical career in Moscow in 1998 and released her first studio album a year later, in 1999. Since then, Zemfira has released multiple albums, each of which received considerable attention from the press and which sold over 3 million copies. In 2013, Zemfira founded the side project The Uchpochmack with her twin nephews Artyom and Artur Ramazanov-Ostapenko. In 2022 Zemfira and Artur founded the side-project Zemfira from Luka. Since the open Russian invasion of Ukraine Zemfira has been openly critical of the war, also in her music, and has moved abroad. Since then the Russian government has placed her on the internationally criticised foreign agent list.
