The next edition of the Zelenka Festival Prague – Dresden will take place in Prague’s Lesser Town (Malá Strana) and in Dresden between 16 to 19 October. The festival is dedicated to the Czech Baroque composer Jan Dismas Zelenka. It will introduce compositions from his private collection, three oratorios, the award-winning Missa Purificationis, and the festival will be closed by world premiere of the Offertorium Currité ad aras performed by the German ensemble Dresdner Kammerchor and the Czech Ensemble Inégal led by Adam Viktora, who is behind the whole festival as well as the renaissance of Zelenka’s ouevre internationally by systematic presentation of his work and legacy. Collegium Marianum and Musica Aeterna from Slovakia will also perform at the festival.
