Zaniklé Podskalí a život na Vltavě

The exhibit was opened in 2003 and has 5 sections: Rafting on the Vltava, The history of vanished Podskalí – rafts and ships on the Vltava, From the history of Podskalí, Freight shipping on the Vltava and Passenger steam navigation in Prague.

From 1912 steamboats also travelled to Mělník and during PPS’s heyday in the First Republic to as far as Hřensko. Excursions to Štěchovice to the Svatojánské Currents were very popular and after they were flooded excursions were gradually made to as far as Slapy Dam. The history of steam navigation is captured in detail not only in historical documents and photographs but also with models of the Bohemia and Vltava steamboats.
