The Art Garden is a space for art and sports in the center of Prešov. The aim of the garden is to introduce street art to the inhabitants of the city. Since 1992, the International Sculpture Symposium has been held here every 2 years. The sculptural works form part of the permanent exhibition of exterior sculpture.
A great natural rarity of the Garden of Art is a tree that does not belong to deciduous or coniferous trees. It is a Ginkgo biloba, considered to be a link between deciduous and coniferous trees. It is a botanical jewel of the city. It comes from China and its highest occurrence was recorded in the Mesozoic. The Chinese monks who grew them in their monastic gardens have the greatest credit for preserving the tree.
