White Lies
White Lies is a British rock band formed in 2007 in London. They originally performed under the name Fear of Flying, under which they released several singles. After changing their name to White Lies, the band focused on a new musical direction.
Their debut album To Lose My Life... was released in 2009 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. It included singles such as Death, Farewell to the Fairground, and the title track To Lose My Life.
The second album, Ritual, was released in 2011 and produced by Alan Moulder. The album featured tracks such as Bigger than Us and Strangers. In 2013, the band released their third studio album, Big TV, which was recorded in London and included songs like There Goes Our Love Again and Getting Even.
In the following years, the albums Friends (2016), Five (2019), and As I Try Not to Fall Apart (2022) were released, showcasing the band's evolution both musically and lyrically. The band has maintained a distinctive sound combining elements of post-punk, synth-pop, and alternative rock.
