What is the shape of the pompon on Janusz Radziwill's dress in David Bailly's painting and what associations does the shoe worn by the prince bring to mind? Which of the works from the MNWr collection can be read in the context of today's discoveries about the intelligence of plants? Contemporary artists invite the audience on a journey into the paintings of old masters, discovering unexpected associations and inviting them to look at familiar works from a different perspective.

The originators of the project Łukasz Huculak (Faculty of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław) and Jadwiga Sawicka (Institute of Art, University of Rzeszów) created works inspired by selected paintings from the collection of the National Museum in Wrocław. They paraphrased more or less inconspicuous fragments of their compositions and elements of the background, giving the museum objects new meanings in the context of the current global crisis. With their "updates" they discreetly join the museum narrative, dialoguing at the same time with the problems of contemporary times.
