Vodárenská věž Future Tower
The Future Tower water tower (also the Kladno water tower) is a structure built in 1933 as one of the first of its kind made of iron and subsequently clad in brickwork. The water tower, which supplies water to over 290,000 people, has been converted and now houses a multi-purpose centre with an observation tower and a hi-tech control room. The technology centre also handles crisis situations such as droughts and floods and provides protection against cyber-attacks. The building has won two awards – Water Building of the Year 2019 and Building of the Year 2020.
