The work of Leoš Janáček’s younger contemporary who died 70 years ago, Karol Szymanowski, well-regarded in his own country, is not often performed in the Czech Republic with the exception of his Stabat Mater. His ballet Harnasie will captivate with its rhythm, popular intonation and overall atmosphere. At the festival this year We have the opportunity to listen to the three best symphonies by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. Polish guests were gifted the ‘Scottish’ through which we will be transferred to mythical castles, legends, and unique natural landscapes.
