Viah
Viah is a Prague-based electropop band.
Their debut album Tears of a Giant was produced by Jiří Burian and released in July 2018 under the Indies MG label. The title of the album refers to the melancholic sound of the songs, which in a fairytale analogy become the tears of a giant. The album was two years in the making, during which Vi Huyen Tran worked as a vocalist and keyboardist in the indie band Republic of Two and learned how to compose songs. Vi Huyen Tran's work focuses on themes of identity and authenticity. In 2019, Viah won the Czeching music export project, which provides the group with the opportunity to perform at the Eurosonic Noorderslag showcase festival, record and release a single, make a music video, and ultimately have their music go to the European Broadcasting Union's music exchange. In November 2019, Viah released a new single Samurai. Then in 2022 they released their second album, Crash Report.
