Valdštejnská lodžie
Valdštejnská lodžie is a unique early Baroque monument near the town of Jičín, built in 1627-1632 by Duke Albrecht von Wallenstein.
It opens onto the surroundings through massive arcades with a magnificent terrace. It belongs to a larger complex, which today, in addition to the Lodge, also includes a courtyard with outbuildings and the Libosad Park with a grotto. The whole complex is situated at the foot of the picturesque basalt hill of Zebín. The Lodge is part of Valdštejn's Baroque composite landscape - an axis that runs through the Jičín basin and connects sacral and secular buildings, landscape landmarks and the town of Jičín into one whole. This line is reinforced by a nearly two-kilometre long four-row linden avenue leading from Jičín to Łódź.
