This year's edition of Unsound in Krakow will last for a week from 29 September to 6 October, and the event will be held under the theme ”Noise”.

As part of this year's Unsound festival, its curators are taking on noise. Noise is sometimes the result of artistic work, but it is also the case that in creating something, it is generated and it turns out to be art. Noise music was born out of the cities, masses and machines of the industrial revolution, challenging the idea of 'unwanted sound' and blurring the boundary between the musical and the non-musical. The 22nd edition of the festival will explore the notion of noise as an interruption or disruption in the artistic programme, focusing on sonic and conceptual activities where an important cog is the 'logic of noise' taking control.
