Uniwersytet Zielonogórski

The University of Zielona Góra is a young university which is developing dynamically. The academic traditions of Winny Grod date back to 1965, when the Higher School of Engineering was established, later transformed into the Zielona Góra University of Technology. In 1971, the Higher Teachers' School was established, which in 1973 became the Pedagogical University and took the name of Professor Tadeusz Kotarbiński. The University of Zielona Góra was established on 1 September 2001 as a result of the merger of PZ and WSP. It is the largest state university in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. Thanks to the financial resources from the European Union, the University of Zielona Góra was expanded by, among others, a modern University Library.
