Uhelný mlýn
The Uhelný mlýn complex consists of two buildings constructed from bricks produced by the renowned local Fischer brickworks. It is located northwest of Prague, within the former Šroubárna industrial complex in Libčice nad Vltavou, just a 30-minute train ride from downtown Prague. The mill originally served to grind coal into fine dust, while the boiler room produced steam and heated the industrial complex. Both buildings were gradually renovated by architect Patrik Hoffman. Today, the boiler room serves as a large event space that can be rented for various occasions. Since 2025, the Ze-Mě project has been hosting its signature experiential culinary events here. Once a month, Kino Kotelna takes place in the Boiler House, organized by a local Libčice association of enthusiasts and film connoisseurs. In the adjacent Coal Mill, you’ll find a contemporary art gallery that hosts three exhibitions a year. The ground floor of Uhelný mlýn also features a small event space with a café.
