The German Film Week is Poland’s largest review of recent cinema from across the country’s Western border. The event encompasses various genres and themes of interest to German filmmakers, which concern, among others, important social problems, coping with difficult German history, both near and far, but also are based on the personal experiences of the filmmakers, who very often come from different cultures and different social systems.
