Turbo
Rock, Metal | The Poznań band Turbo has become classic of the Polish metal pantheon since its formation in 1980. The band was founded by bassist Henryk Tomczak, who had previously played in the groups Stress and Heam; the first lineup was completed by guitarist Wojciech Hoffmann, drummer Wojciech Anioła and vocalist Wojciech Sowula. Over the years and many personnel rotations, they have explored regions of guitar music from hard rock to speed and prog metal; Hoffmann is the sole constant member of Turbo, and figures such as Robert "Litza" Friedrich and Grzegorz Kupczyk have passed through the group's lineup. Turbo has 12 studio albums to its credit, the latest of which is 2013's Piąty żywioł.
