Traktor

The music group Traktor was formed in the spring of 2001 by former members of the bands Tarantula and Wizard – Standa Balko, Martin Kapek, and Karel Ferda. A year later, the lineup was expanded with Pavel Balko and Petr Bartošek. In this formation, the band began working on its own repertoire and performing at club and festival stages.

The first studio album, S vlečkou se to lépe táhne, was released in 2004 under the label Popron Music. It was followed by the albums 69 (2009), Tmel (2011), Alcatra’n’z (2013), and Artefuckt (2016). Subsequent recordings include Šachoffnice (2018), Sedmá strana kostky (2021), and Jungle XXI (2024). In addition to studio albums, the band has also released live recordings and DVDs, for example from a concert in Ostrava’s Bonver Arena.

The current lineup consists of Martin Kapek (vocals), Standa Balko (guitar), Karel Ferda (bass), Petr Bartošek (keyboards), and Pavel Balko (drums).
