Tragic love entangled in the cogs of politics and history. Tosca permanently entered the repertoire of opera houses, allowing many singers to create unforgettable creations. Some of Puccini's most beautiful arias were produced: Recondita armonia... and E lucevan le stelle... woven into the story of the tragic love between the singer Tosca and the painter Cavaradossi, who become victims of a game played by the secret police chief Scarpia. For helping an escaped political prisoner, Cavaradossi himself is captured and sentenced to death. The price for his life is to be the painter's beloved, Tosca. The singer kills Scarpia, but the revenge of the police chief reaches the lovers even after his death.
