Törr
Törr is a Czech metal band that was formed in 1977 in Prague. Initially focused on hard rock, the band transitioned to black metal in the 1980s, becoming one of the first groups of this genre in then-Czechoslovakia. The founding members were Ota Hereš and Pavel Kadeřábek.
In 1986, the band released its first demo recordings, which gained attention within the underground scene. In 1990, the debut album Armageddon was released and achieved commercial success. This was followed by other albums, including Institut klinické smrti (1991), Chcípni o kus dál (1993), and Morituri te salutant (1996). Throughout its existence, the band underwent several lineup changes and musical shifts, experimenting with elements of thrash metal, industrial, and rock.
The group took multiple breaks from activity but repeatedly returned to the music scene. In the new millennium, they released albums such as Made in Hell (2003), Törritorium (2010), and Black 'n' Roll (2016). Törr primarily performs in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, occasionally also in other European countries.
Throughout its career, the band has had several members. The most prominent figure remains guitarist and vocalist Ota Hereš.
